About The Pottery
-
All pieces are thrown (formed), and sometimes textured on the potter's wheel.
-
All pieces, made with a stoneware clay, are fired twice in an electric kiln - bisque fired around 1800°F, and glaze fired at 2200°F.
-
All pots and glazes are food safe.
-
The glazing palette is primarily earth tones- rich blues and turquoise, browns, whites, greens, and rust reds. The slightest difference in glaze thickness, temperature, or placement in the kiln can alter the color outcome.
-
Each piece or set is one of a kind.
